Wikipedia has a section on how laibach do a lot of cover versions. Only their covers are meant to subvert the originals. These are always pretty cool, a bunch of artists do it. Weird Al Yankavitch (I'm sure that's not the correct spelling) is probably the first person to come to mind.
There's a major point of difference in that he changes the words and not really the arrangment, where as laibach seem to distort the structure to make political comments.
The fact that laibach aren't as accissible and are all serious and political could make you think that other covers, like Weird Al's aren't as important or serious... I disagree... kind of... He's taking the most accessible popular songs and changing the words into something less pleasent (fat, constipated, ect.). The popular mainstream is ussually pretty, polished and loveable, Weird Al uses the success of those pretty songs and basically always ends up having a very un-pretty hit of his own.
The message may not be as overtly political and serious (as laibach) but he's doing a pretty great thing.
And now to end, the link to a great cover, Roland S Howard's version of Billy Idol's "White Wedding". (Roland was great with covers...)
