collective/collaborative practice

Relational art deals with the idea of social engagement with artists and audience, the practices that carries the value of aesthetic is centered upon the social/inter-human relationships that are generated from the work itself. Like he has mensioned and raised the issue in Relational Aesthetics to artists such as Rirkrit Tiravanija, Philippe Parreno, Liam Gillick and Carsten Holler, all artists whose work's carries relational capacities on their works. If the work is all about engagement, collaborative practice or collectives, and though collaborative or collective work has long been accepted as normal in the kind of artistic production that requires ensemble work, such as music, in the contect of visual art under which the individual artistic talent govern such loss of singularity of the artist. This stratagy of collaborative and relation have established by the political issue, the emancipatory projects of the liberation movements of the mid-twentieth century. Which also related to 'anti-globalisation movement'.
If we look at the history, the social engagement or collectives tend to emerge during the period of political crisis or uncertainity within society. This is where the artists have found their position into relatioanl art, collaborative practices, in relation to economic, social and political. The communication between the artists and audience have become much easier due to the technical advance in networks, in communication technologies and globalisation. This flexibility of collectives has produced advantage and disadvantage of social space in artworks and this relational/ collaborative practices tend to loss the idea and unconcerned with the questions of "who is an artist?" and "What is an author?", which causes and create chaostic state of its intend. What an authentic work of art and author is?
